Waterhouses Cinema Programme

Films are shown every Wednesday. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film starts at around 7pm.

Entry is FREE although donations are appreciated at the door.

Children are very welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

Drinks are available throughout and Ice creams are available during the interval.

Starting 3rd March 2010, the cinema will open its doors at 6:30pm with films starting at 7pm. Hopefully this will be a suitable time to allow both kids and workers to attend. Please remember that kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. This is not intended to discourage kids, it is simply a Community Association rule.

An inventor and a savvy weather girl attempt to discover why the sky has opened up and is dumping food instead of rain in this Sony Pictures Animation 3-D adaptation of the children's book by Ron and Judi Barrett. The picture is directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, with supporting voice work by James Caan, Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Mr. T, and Tracy Morgan.

 A wily fox uses his formidable cunning to outsmart three feeble-minded farmers who resort to extreme tactics to protect their chickens in director Wes Anderson's animated adaptation of the popular Roald Dahl children's book. George Clooney supplies the voice for Mr. Fox, with Meryl Streep, Bill Murray, and Jason Schwartzman rounding out the rest of the cast.

Adela Quested (Judy Davis), a young and spirited Englishwoman, travels to India alongside the somewhat older Mrs. Moore (Peggy Ashcroft). Mrs. Moore's hope is that her son, an administrator in the British Raj, and Adela will wed. Once in India, the two women pay scant heed to the customs followed by English society. They even agree to accompany a "native" -- the charming and educated Dr. Aziz (Victor Banerjee) -- on a tour of the mystical, ancient Marabar Caves. But their innocent outing turns ugly when Adela emerges from the cave's darkness accusing Aziz of rape. British authorities eagerly pursue--even pressure --Adela to go to court.
